In collaboration with the HPE Data Science Institute, the Geophysical Society of Houston delivered an insightful webinar pertaining to different tools for seismic interpretation.

Carrie Laudon, a senior geophysical consultant at Geophysical Insights, specializes in geophysics and seismic interpretation, and has experience working with various AI platforms. She focused on unsupervised machine learning and demonstrated how to improve data results utilizing special software.

Throughout the last decade, technology has advanced in numerous ways. Certain areas, such as data science and machine learning, have been highly developed. Laudon elaborated on the various patterns and structures that are observed in unsupervised machine learning.

Numerous seismic interpreters tend to disregard the impact of machine learning in their research. Laudon emphasized the importance of using it and explained how its data analysis can help upscale an individual’s research.
