Attendance and Enrollment Policies
To support successful progress in this course, the following attendance policy applies:
Attendance Requirement for Certificate/Badge Eligibility Policy
Students must attend a minimum of 12 instructional hours, equivalent to at least 8 of the 10 class sessions, to be eligible for a certificate or badge of completion.
Enrollment Policy
- Enrollment for Clear Lake, Victoria, Downtown, Sugar Land or Katy campuses affiliates: Attendees who are current UHS student, staff or faculty from the Clear Lake, Victoria, Downtown, Sugar Land or Katy campuses MUST fill in this credentials form at least three(3) weeks before the course start date. This will allow adequate time for processing of your course access credentials before the first-class.
- Enrollment for UH Alumni and Non-UH affiliates: Prospective participants who are not current UHS students, staff, or faculty are required to submit payment for the course at least three (3) weeks prior to the course commencement date. In addition, participants must complete the required credentials form at least three (3) weeks before the course start date.
Payment and Refund Policies
The following Payment and Refund Policies apply only to UH Alumni and Non-UH Affiliates enrolled in DSI courses.
Payment Policy
Participants who are not current UHS students, staff, or faculty are required to submit payment prior to the start of the course.
- UH Alumni Registration Fee: $250.00
- Non-UH Affiliate Registration Fee: $250.00
Refund and Cancellation Policy
The following refund schedule applies to course/workshop cancellations:
- More than three weeks before the start date: A cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total course/workshop cost will apply.
- Less than three weeks before the start date: A 15% cancellation fee will apply.
- Less than one week before the start date: A 25% cancellation fee will apply.
- 48 hours or less before the class starts: No refund will be issued.
All deposits and payments are non-transferable. The HPE DSI is unable to provide refunds, transfer payments, or offer makeup sessions for classes missed by a student for any reason.
If the HPE DSI cancels a workshop, participants will receive a full refund.
