Launched as a joint effort between the Division of Research and the Office of the Provost, the HPE Data Science Institute is built on the dual pillars of research and education. Education at HPE DSI covers everything from intensive graduate programming to K-12 outreach.

HPE DSI Course Catalog

The HPE Data Science Institute offers free courses for the UH community held in fall, spring, and summer sessions. Courses can be taken separately or combined into one of four micro-credential programs.

Micro-credential Programs

The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute (HPE DSI) at the University of Houston offers a suite of micro-credential programs designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with specialized skills in key areas of data science. Programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Data Science and High-Performance Computing all consist core and elective courses, culminating in a digital badge that certifies expertise in the respective domain. 

The courses are free for active UH System members.
